  • 91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. • This film and Jurassic Park are the two movies often cited when people ask what cemented CGI in the public consciousness as an amazing special effects tool. And a lot of people swear the CGI in both films are amazing. And yeah, I get how people can believe that. The CGi is, by modern standards, actually pretty basic, but it's used to full advantage, using it in situations that ephasize the strengths of the medium, while playing down it's flaws, blending it almost seamlessly with phenomenal practical effects like animatronics, wire work, practical stuntwork, good old fashion editing, and some pretty damn good makeup in the case of T2. Don't believe me? look closely at the establishing shot at the front of Jurassic park with the brachiosauruses or the other dinosaurs I forget the name of from the "they do travel in herds" scene. The CG is actually pretty bad by modern standards, but the film knows not to focus too closely on the dinosaurs, cutting away to the human characters constantly so you dont get too close of a look at the cg. T2, while not as conservative in its use of cg, blended it with brilliant practical effects that if you didn't know they weren't cg, you'd swear were cg. great example? the scene where the t-1000 was frozen and then melted to reform? actually very little cg. Look up the T2 episode of an old show called "movie magic" for details on how they did it. I saw it back in the day, and it was pretty clever. In fact, it was so simple to reproduce, that Hot Shots Part Deux actually recreated the scene almost shot for shot for a Scary Movie-esque parody of the scene only a few years later.

  • on the t 1000 being slow at going after them there is a directors cut of this movie that actually reveals that after getting unfrozen the T 1000 began to have trouble just keeping it together as when he grabs the black and yellow pole his hand sticks to it and takes its colors and he has to peel off the hand from the rail. its also how John figured out which one the fake sarah conner was as the feet of the t 1000 were actually melding with the iron floor giving him away

They added things that are not needed and make the movie more weak. You did great, I was scared. I don't need ppl making fun of this movie. It's perfect. Those dc extras are garbage. I don't need terminator smiling I don't need sarah connor having a vision of Kyle Reese. She's strong on her own, it diminishes her character. When somebody dies, you feel it. It hurts. Everybody in this film is perfect. 10 out of 10 all day theatrical version

  • Feel like you overlooked the subtlety of the sunglasses reflecting the character of the T800 and Sarah at various points; the part where Arnie loses the shades in the rescue of Sarah marks the point in the film where he starts becoming humanised, conversely, Sarah dons the shades when she, in effect, becomes a terminator herself - aiming to terminate Miles Dyson in order to alter the future - then losing them again as she regains her humanity. In the Director's Cut, there is an initial shorter dream sequence of the blast, which cuts away like you said it should - the longer dream sequence is then shown later on in the film to give a fuller view of the stakes she's up against, in her view, which then gives the character justification for becoming what she's been fighting against. Also, Eddie Furlong's voice started breaking during the filming of T2, so they had to go back and re-record alot of his lines, however, they kept the original audio for the scene where he's talking with the T800 while repairing the truck to keep the softer voice and make him seem more vulnerable as they build towards the ending.
